About Me

My enthusiasm for fitness began in just one area.  Running.  As a kid growing up in rural Indiana I remember pounding the pavement of those back roads well.  Setting goals for myself, it gave me such confidence and satisfaction as I watched myself break goal after goal.  I loved the thrill of self-competition.

As I grew into adulthood it saddened me to see some friends and family living low quality lives as a result of their poor weight management.  After my first baby was born, I got the opportunity to make a career change.  I went from a classroom teacher to a different kind of teacher.

I now LOVE my job as a personal trainer.  I  get to teach the science of fitness and nutrition to help others lead high quality, high productive lives.

I spent December 2006 – Sept. 2008 as a speed/agility coach for Daryl Doran and now have transferred that fun into working with weight management for individuals in the comfort of their own home.

Why Whole Fitness?

Whole Fitness is now my approach to training.  I’ve spent years reading and researching the physiology of a runner.  Then I became ACE certified in 2005 and discovered how important strength training is to overall fitness.  So I educated myself in strength training/body building!  In the last 7 years I have become resourced in cardiovascular fitness, strength training, yoga, pilates & kickboxing.  And have come to discover that our bodies were created for frequent and VARIED movement.  So my approach to fitness is to integrate all disciplines into one WHOLE fitness journey.  It also mixes things up a bit!

My Family

I get to live in St. Louis, Missouri with my two sweet kiddos and an incredibly supportive husband, Rob.

Have fun reading my thoughts and please contact me if I can help you in your journey toward your optimum health and wellness!

This web site is awesome and inspiring. I remember when you were studying for your ACE certification. You have come a long way. It is obvious that you are using your gifts. I will continue to follow your business and hope to learn some things.
